I fell in love with Thomas Wells and knew he was my forever.
I was sixteen when I gave him my heart.
Our love was the kind to last a lifetime.
But Thomas was broken.
The first day we met he told me he was going to become a Navy SEAL.
At nineteen he enlisted.
At twenty he married me.
At twenty five he left me pregnant and didn't turn back.
I knew he was suffering….
I also knew I couldn't save him.
He left me broken.
I was scared and alone.
Until I met Ryder St. John a wounded soldier…
He was lost.
I was lost.
Together we made sense.
I fell in love again…
What Ryder forgot to mention was that he held a secret so explosive that it could shatter both our worlds.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

To say this book is an emotional roller coaster is an understatement. I was up and down, left and right through this entire read. This book had me from page one and kept me captivated throughout.

This isnt just a story of heartbreak but a journey of individual growth, learning who you are, family, friendship, hope, faith, second chances, and most of all fate. Halo has been in love with Thomas since she was 15. Thomas has always had a one track mind of becoming a Navy SEAL. He enlisted when he was 19 after putting his dreams on hold to be there for Halo. They got married and he deployed. Now back from his second deployment Halo finds out shes pregnant. But Thomas doesn't take that news well. Leaving Halo alone, pregnant and shattered. He digs the knife in deeper a few weeks later with divorce papers. Now a few months later Halo has a chance encounter with Ryder after giving birth to her son. Ryder is a wounded soldier who is about as lost as Halo. day after day feelings grow between the two of them... But what happens when the past Ryder doesn't remember comes back to him? Can the secrets in his past pull them closer together or will it push them apart and shatter them both more than they were?

Great unbelievable read that you will not want to put down after you pick it up.
