Release Blitz - Flawed by Rachael Orman

Flawed-ebook (1).jpg

Synopsis

Julia is a domme for hire. Paid to spank and dominate men, she loves what she does during the summer months. However, she is also a submissive for her husband.

Garrison is content being married to Julia even though he is a bisexual. That is, until he realizes the man he has the hots for is interested in him. Too bad his job as a detective has him busy dealing with a serial murder case. Good thing, the sexy lawyer is also on the case and it gives him a reason to see him.

Keaton might be a shark in the courtroom, winning almost every single case he tries, but he is submissive in the bedroom. It’s hard to balance his work life with his private life and finding someone that can handle both aspects of his personality.

When they realize they all know each other and there is desire between the three of them, things get hot. But, can three really make a relationship instead of two?

The serial murderer isn’t going to wait for them to figure out their situation. He is on the hunt for dommes and isn’t leaving much behind for the police to use to find him.

My phone rang, and I sat back from Garrison to pull it from my pocket. I cleared my throat at the name on the screen.
“Go ahead and take it,” Garrison said, leaning against the padding of the booth. He spread his arms out on either side of the backing, showing off how built he was and making my mouth go dry.
“Hello?” I tried answering in my normal voice, although it wasn’t normally how I spoke to her. However, balancing the dominating man in front of me and the controlling woman on the phone wasn’t easy.
“Where are you?” she barked.
“I’m sorry. I lost track of time. I am going to have to reschedule our meeting,” I admitted, holding back the groan that threatened to climb from within. Moving our appointment wasn’t what I wanted, but arriving late and not getting my full time wasn’t an option either. How had I lost track of time?
“This is unacceptable, Counselor. I’m very upset with you,” she snapped with venom in her voice.
“Understandably so. When can you fit me in next? I promise it won’t happen again.” I would’ve begged right then and there if it weren’t for the blue eyes burning into me from across the small table. I’d just tried to pick up on him only to be shot down, and now I was on the phone with the woman who dominated me on a regular basis. I wanted to squirm in my seat from the awkwardness of the situation, but didn’t because he couldn’t hear her side of the conversation. He had no idea who was on the phone, and I wouldn’t let it show. I might be submissive, but I wasn’t weak.
“I don’t know. Maybe I should make you wait another week before I make time for you. What would you say to that?” she demanded. That made me shift in my seat. I couldn’t handle waiting that long for her.
“Please,” I hissed, ducking my head, as if I could hide anything from the man across from me.
“Please what? You are the one that messed up here. Not me. I am upset with you; so why should I go out of my way to make time for you after you missed the time I’d already made for you?” she sneered.
My dick throbbed in my pants, my chest felt tight. I needed to see her. I needed the release only she was able to give me.
“I need to see you,” I lowered my voice even more, so low I wasn’t sure she’d be able to hear me.
“I’ll call you if I have some time open up,” she taunted and hung up.

Excerpt

Sighing, I pushed a strand of greasy bleach-blonde hair behind my ear. I missed my natural brown hair. It looked better on me, not to mention it took a lot less upkeep. Although I had plenty of time to waste since I was a waitress at a little diner in the middle of nowhere with no friends.

It wasn't my choice to be in the crappy little town. It wasn't how I envisioned my life being at thirty. However, stupid choices made at the ripe age of eighteen left me slinging crappy food I couldn’t even stomach.

“Miss! Miss!” an obnoxious woman yelled from the other side of the room as she waved her arm in the air. Like I could've missed her when there were only two other tables with customers on my side of the diner.

“How can I help you?” I asked, trying to force a smile.

“I need a refill,” she said, gesturing to her still half-full glass of sweet tea.

“I'll be right back.” I sighed and went to get the pitcher. Once I topped her glass off, I went back behind the counter to stare out the front door again. It was how I passed the time I wasn’t running around trying to keep impossible people happy. Dreaming about the life I should’ve been living or, on bad days, the life I used to have.

I used to work at a pharmacy, helping doctors and patients. I enjoyed going to work every day. Enjoyed my life, but that all ended once I got involved with Michele Berto. No, it wasn’t all bad at first, but by the end, I wished I’d never met the man who ruined my life.

He was tall, dark and handsome. Just what every woman wanted in a man, right? That's what I once thought. Not only was he sexy, but I thought he was the one for me. That we'd be together forever. Then I found out who he really was and nothing was ever the same. One night and my life as I knew it had been forever and irrevocably altered.

I'd loved Michele as much as an eighteen-year-old girl knew how to. I'd been blinded by lust and the attention and money he’d spent on me. Being raised by a single mother who worked two jobs to make ends meet left me alone and hungry more often than not. Then, in swept Michele with his thousand-dollar suits and million-dollar cars. He'd spoiled me from the start. Anything I wanted, I got. If I even looked at something for more than a second, it would magically appear at his house or mine the next day as a gift from him. It was so easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of money. So easy, in fact, that I didn't see what was right in front of my face. That he wasn't just a rich twenty-year-old, but a mafioso who was as controlling and violent as he was charismatic.

Stupid and naïve I'd fallen for everything he told me. For seven years I’d lived in a blissful state of blind love. Until I saw something I was never meant to see, only to disappear in the middle of the night with the help of the FBI then reappear as a new woman in a new town, with a past to hide from. Along with a horrible name change. I’d liked being Alice, but they’d changed it to the much more exotic Allegra, which I didn’t think fit me at all, but no one asked me.

That'd been five years ago. Five long years of no friends, no family, nothing but a crappy job to pay for a crappy apartment.

I’d like to say that I’d relaxed since it had been so long and that I possibly thought I’d gotten away from Michele unscathed. I didn’t. I was still constantly looking over my shoulder. Still afraid to connect with people who would make it hard to leave if I needed to. Not to mention, I still hated the town the FBI had planted me in. The job was absolutely nothing I would’ve ever done in my previous life, which I supposed was why it was such a good place to put me. However, I was miserable, almost hoping someone would find me and take me out just so I didn’t have to keep paying for the sins I didn’t commit and never wanted to be a part of.

“Miss!” the obnoxious customer from hell yelled again.

I gritted my teeth and went to her table again. Another refill for an only half-gone drink. Annoying. Drink the whole glass or at least down the to the last quarter and I'd be automatically filling it. Still half full, and I didn't think it needed my attention, but what did I know? I was just the hired help having to please the masses and their stupid requests.

As I returned to my spot, Wendy, the other waitress, strolled over to me and leaned in close.

“You have got to check out the hunk of man who just sat in my section,” she breathed quietly.

I glanced over to her side of the restaurant in surprise. I hadn't heard the door chime to announce a new arrival so he must've come in while I was handling the needy woman.

My gaze landed on a man in the corner booth. I nearly jumped back when my eyes met his. He was staring right at me as if he'd been waiting for me to notice him. I swallowed around the hard knot that had formed in my throat from the cold, dead stare he gave me.

I knew that look. I’d seen it many times on the men that hung around Michele. It was the look of a killer.

So I finished this book a few days ago and still have no idea how to write this review. I want to say i loved the book because honestly I did but not for most the reasons I love dark books. This one I have to say was a bit darker than what I am use to (which says a lot)

I didn't really find anything I didnt like about it but saying that makes it seem like I'm okay with having a female as a slave and all the things that went on in this book. But that is not what I am trying to say. Things like what happened in this book happen in our world right before our eyes and people dont see it or are just to blind to care.

What I did love i guess you could say is how it is written. everything in this book flowed yes at times I thought that Gia was naive but when you are born in basically a brothel and raised the way she was then what Matteo did to her she would consider acceptable.

Matteo he is not your every day Hero or Alpha male you fall in love with. But what choice did he have? Hes part of the Italian Mafia and when raised the way his father raised him he though what he was doing was right. Gia captured him from the first time he saw her. He wanted her he got her. But being Italian and in the Mafia there are certain things that are required of him. His father wanted him to marry and produce an Heir.

In the beginning that was fine and dandy until it was found out that Mia was part of a family that was against the Rossi's. That is like dirty blood.

The content of this book is not pretty. Some of it was a little hard to read through due to the graphics but at the same time (I do not wish an person to live in these conditions) I have never been through this nor have known anyone to go through anything like this so it is easier for me to read.

In all honesty I can see myself reading more of Rachael's book in the future. She pulls you in right from the beginning and doesnt let go.
button excerpt

A shiver ran through me. I was chained up in his basement. I’d never been restrained in such a way before. Madam never resorted to such means since she knew I never would’ve run. I had no desire to live free of enslavement. It was all I knew and all I wanted. However, feeling the cool breeze in the room and the even colder restraints on my skin made me wonder if maybe I had thought wrong all along. “I can see from the look on your face that you’ve never been locked up before, and I see that’s where Madam went wrong with you. No, you didn’t want to escape, but you don’t know how to behave. No, you don’t truly know the extent to which a punishment can go. Don’t worry, that is going to change starting now. This will throw a wrench in my initial plans for you, but I refuse to let you go now. You are mine and will be forever, so get used to the idea.” Matteo leaned against the wall in front of me, sliding his hands into his pockets as if we were carrying on a completely normal conversation. He appeared entirely at ease while I struggled with all the new emotions flooding me. After a moment of staring at me, he pushed off the wall and stood close enough I could feel his body heat. He reached down to pull his erection from his dress slacks. Sliding his hand over it slowly, he dragged the tip over my mouth. “Suck it. Get me off and I’ll leave you alone for the remainder of the night. Fail to do so and I will start your punishment now,” he said as he shoved the hot, hard, musky flesh into my mouth. I wanted to cry out that I thought the lashings from the belt had been my punishment. Instead, I sucked him down my throat and bobbed my head along his length the way he’d shown me he liked it done. The longer I sucked, the more my lips became numb and the more I realized that I really had no idea what being a slave was like. Finally, he groaned and his release filled my mouth and throat before he pulled back. As he tucked himself into his pants again he yanked my hair so I was forced to look him in the eye. “Welcome to the Italian Mafia way of life, bella.”

button About the author

Mother by day. Writer by night. I spend a majority of my day with my children and reading while my nights are filled with the sound of the keyboard as I work on my next work.
I have written in nearly every LBGT category as well as the traditional erotic romance category.
I love to try new things and learn from every piece of work I write. I'll write just about anything once to learn from it. I've even ventured out of my normal erotica genre into Monster Erotica. Doubt you'll find me writing anything not erotic as you can barely get me to even read something out of that category, but then again, you never know what I might try next.
Never stop learning. Try everything at least once.
