Brilliant ending to a great series!!! Every book got better and better I will say i feel like I'm still left with some questions. Fiona needed to tell Gabe something but I honestly dont remember her ever telling him. What is with her blacking out all the time?

You grow with the characters and each book has you feeling differently towards them. one book you may love Gabe but in the next hate him. Fiona some books you are rooting her on saying you go girl and others you want to tell her to grow a backbone and grow up. But all in all This entire series every book left me wanting the next one every single time. My mouth watered as I looked at her. Something about her energy seemed electric and wild. Fiona’s eyes sparkled with defiance, and she glared in my direction. I stood from the chair and started to walk towards her. “I swear to God, Gabe, if you touch me—I’ll scream.” I licked my lips as I looked at her in silence. I took another step towards her, close enough to get my first whiff of her perfume. While she stared at me with a look of uncertainty on her face, I relished the feeling of being close to her once again. My cock twitched as I watched her ample breasts heave. In between frenetic gulps of air, her chest moved up and down, tempting my hands to touch them. “What are you doing, Gabe?” she whispered. “Don’t push me.” I narrowed my gaze as I looked at her mouth. More than anything, I wanted to press my lips against hers. Fiona continued to fight through labored breath as I moved closer yet again. Her lips parted, and I was almost close enough to feel the heat as it escaped from the between them. Just then, Fiona broke my gaze and her eyes darted towards the conference room door. Within a fraction of a second, she moved as if she were trying to escape, but as she did, I slammed my hand against the wall, palm flat, blocking her exit. She snapped her head in my direction, and I wasted no more time. I crushed my mouth into hers, pinning her head against the wall. Right away, Fiona resisted me with everything she had. After a moment or two, she shook her head with a violent thrash, and broke her lips free of mine. “Stop it, Gabe,” she warned. Lifting her hand, she wiped her mouth with the back of her palm. I smiled as I looked into her eyes. “I mean it,” she began. “I’m not kidding around. If you so much as touch me again, I’ll knee you right in the balls.” But just as she finished speaking, I noticed the tiniest of twitches underneath Fiona’s eye. She didn’t believe her own bluff. I extended my other arm. Now with both palms flat against the wall, I engulfed her with my presence. Without hesitation, I leaned my entire body into her, pinning her against the wall with my weight. My lips met hers and I drove my tongue inside her mouth. Predictably, Fiona resisted, squealing and moaning and otherwise protesting, until at last, I felt the rigidness fade from her body.

Review:

Gah these characters frustrate me to no end but I'm loving this series!! After the way book 3 left you with that jaw dropping cliffhanger I couldn't wait to dive into this book. (pun not intended) Gabe kind of irritated me because of the way he had been treating Fiona but at the same time Fiona gah what more is she hiding? She has hinted to Gabe that because of certain things they cannot be anything but what the heck am I missing? This one also had me crying for Fiona and the outcome of this book and things that happened.

I'm not one to post spoilers if I can help it so my review is going to be cryptic but if you have not read this series by Sloan Storm what are you waiting for? all 4 of the books are quick reads and just oh so good. they build you up and keep you wanting more. Ready for the 5th and final book to see how this crazy relationship is going to turn out. Will they get their HEA or has too much happened already that they will just be work colleagues from here on out?

Underneath the warm afternoon sun, we intertwined our bodies, twisting arms and legs as the sailboat rocked back and forth with the gentle currents. Between the sounds of our hungry groans for one another, the lyrical cries of seabirds overhead passed in and out of my awareness.

A subtle breeze stirred the sail into action, causing it to flap and crack like an oversized whip. I swirled my fingers in Gabe’s hair, gently twisting the loose, damp curls. Gabe held me firm, with one hand around my midsection and the other cupping my breast.

When I thought I’d lost him, the feeling I experienced was about so much more than the physical. But now, having him here again, holding me, touching me and consuming me—I realized how connected I’d become to him.

I allowed my fingertips to slide down the back of his head, along his neck and towards the sun-warmed skin of his muscular upper back. Curling my fingers under, I dug the tips of my nails into his flesh as I further sought to reassure myself of his physical presence.

As I did, Gabe grunted and contracted his shoulder blades, drawing them together in a tight ball of sinew. I moaned in return and relaxed my grip, moving down further yet again until I reached the hard, round muscularity of his perfect ass, squeezing it and pulling it towards my hips.

Just then, Gabe separated his mouth from mine. As the satin soft feel of his lips moved away, I let loose with a disapproving pout.

Gabe chuckled as he looked down at me. “What’s the matter?”

Releasing one of my hands from his backside, I drew it up towards my face and pointed at my mouth.

“My lips miss you already.”

“Which ones?” Gabe said, with a devious smile on his face.

I returned his grin with one of my own. “You’re terrible, you know that?”

OMG what an ending to book 3... I need book 4 like now!! Gah that ending... In this book you see the growth in Fiona but at the same time she is still holding something back. Gabe tries to get her to talk to him but to no avail she is still holding things close to her. She has grown in her public speaking but in every day things she needs to grow a pair and speak what is on her mind at all times. Her and Gabe get a little closer in this book and not in the sexual way either. I'm hoping to see her open up even more in the next book.

Fiona 

Just as he finished speaking, Gabe leaned in and kissed me, sliding his hand behind my head as he did. Although I probably should have expected it and resisted, the simple fact was he’d caught me by surprise and I didn’t.

It was such a beautiful place and the truth was that I was tired. In reality, nothing would have felt better than the satin-like feel of his lips against mine just then. I relented and leaned into Gabe, giving in to his strength and my need for it. Without a word, he separated his lips from mine.

“Give me your hand,” he said.

Still in a daze from our kiss, I did as he asked. “Why?”

“Well, Fiona, we have to shower,” he began, as he tugged at me, pulling me off the stool. “You can’t get in the ocean dirty. That just wouldn’t be polite.”

“Oh, I see.”

Within minutes, Gabe stripped away what resistance I pretended to still have, and, after starting the shower, he reached down and grabbed hold of the door handle, tugging it open. Trailing Gabe’s chiseled backside into the heated mist, I watched as he walked under one of two large showerheads.

I closed on him just as the rain from overhead slid down his magnificent torso. Rivulets of wet heat rippled along his hard frame as I drew near, rubbing my body against his like a forlorn kitten.

I looked up into Gabe’s eyes, and as I did he leaned down and kissed me with a single, soft press against my cheek. Chills raced along my spine as he moved closer and trailed his slick lips down the side of my neck.

I trembled as Gabe’s tongue and lips suckled my wet flesh. Just then, he reached up and pulled my hair out of his way. With a tender slap, it clung to my back as Gabe’s mouth moved around behind me to the center of my neck, just above my shoulder blades.

My head listed and rocked like a wayward sea vessel in the midst of a storm. As the shower rained heat upon me, I leaned my curves against him. Gabe’s hands raced towards my hips, where he grabbed them and squeezed firmly. My lips parted, and as they did, a few droplets made their way inside. I tasted the water, laced with Gabe’s essence. A heady mix of musk and sweat rolled across my tongue like a subtle wave laps against a dock.
